Our wedding was catered by Plate, and it was far and away the best choice we made about the whole event. If you want your food to be DELICIOUS, make a statement, be provided with excellent service, and just plain feel good to eat, then Plate. is who you're looking for.

Early in the process, we had specific ideas for the type of food we wanted (upscale pastoral picnic -- think savory pies & fresh bright vegetables), but were having trouble finding someone who was on board & for a reasonable price. We were pretty committed to a Hobbit (LOTR) themed wedding, so the quality and type of food was important for us to pull that off. It was also important to us to have a variety of options for different palates, including vegetarian.

From the initial conversation with Mike Young, he immediately had excellent ideas that solved our problem and took our concept to the next level. (We had actually contacted him about photography, so this was a lucky & welcome surprise!) Throughout the planning process, he continued to adapt & expand the menu to the event, and he was super responsive, enthusiastic, personable, and flexible the entire time. Every suggestion he had was on point, and he was always willing to pivot to what we wanted or to scale back if desired (we didn't).

On the actual day, the Plate. team prepared a bountiful grazing board, elaborate buffet (from second breakfast to elevensies!), and mocktail drinks, as well as provided excellent service. They even dressed up on theme, which was a nice touch. One of the main topics of conversation among guests was how GOOD the food was, and I think that's something people will remember about the event from years to come. Seriously, even eating the leftovers cold several days after, it was still one of the best things I've eaten (that beet salad!!).
